Based in the heart of Forest Row, The Swan is the hub of the community. With a large dining area and ample gardens, it’s the perfect place to dine for country pub affair come rain or shine, with friends or family alike.

Serving up a mixture of pub classics, using locally sourced suppliers within a 30-mile radius. The Swan is known for its vast and varied selection of meats, the majority of which are dry aged in house. We also have a fantastic range of vegetarian and vegan pub classics using produce from biodynamic farms in the heart of Forest Row.

With six boutique rooms as well, The Swan provides a great base to explore the countryside of the South East, including Ashdown Forest which borders The Swan. Ashdown Forest


Originally a deer hunting forest in Norman times, Ashdown Forest is now one of the largest free public access space in the South East. It is a great place for walking and enjoying spectacular views over the Sussex countryside and is known the world over as the 'home' of Winnie-the-Pooh.

The Llama Park


The Llama Park is situated on the A22 just south of the Wych Cross traffic lights and is set in 33 acres of beautiful land The Park is adjacent to the Ashdown Forest which is in an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.

Godstone Farm


Set in the beautiful Surrey Hills and a short distance from the M25, the farm is the perfect family fun filled day out.

Bluebell Railway


The Bluebell Railway is a heritage railway, running steam-hauled trains from Sheffield Park to East Grinstead in Sussex.

Pooh Corner


Owner, Mike Ridley and his wife Jan created the gift and tea shop in 1978, a year earlier having used his skills as a potter to manufacture Winnie-the-Pooh ceramics under licence from Disney – with whom he eventually held a licence for over 10 years and met Christopher Milne on a number of occasions

Hever Castle


Experience 700 years of history at the romantic double-moated castle once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. The splendid rooms contain fine furniture, tapestries, antiques, an important collection of Tudor paintings and two prayer books inscribed and signed by Anne Boleyn herself.
