Located in Forest Row, The Swan is an idyllic country pub with six boutique bedrooms - a cosy bolthole with a quintessentially British air!

Our chefs have been busy curating a fabulous sunshine menu for you to enjoy, with some great weekly promotions to showcase the best of what we have to offer! Undoubtedly the perfect spot for a family lunch or a catch up with friends. Sit back, enjoy a glass of Balfour bubbles and let us take care of you.

Tables will be available on a first come, first served basis in our garden area, but are bookable for inside dining. Our bedrooms are also available to book directly for those looking for the perfect English staycation!

Ashdown Forest


Originally a deer hunting forest in Norman times, Ashdown Forest is now one of the largest free public access space in the South East. It is a great place for walking and enjoying spectacular views over the Sussex countryside and is known the world over as the 'home' of Winnie-the-Pooh.

The Bluebell Railway is a heritage railway, running steam-hauled trains from Sheffield Park to East Grinstead in Sussex.

Pooh Corner


Owner, Mike Ridley and his wife Jan created the gift and tea shop in 1978, a year earlier having used his skills as a potter to manufacture Winnie-the-Pooh ceramics under licence from Disney – with whom he eventually held a licence for over 10 years and met Christopher Milne on a number of occasions

Hever Castle


Experience 700 years of history at the romantic double-moated castle once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. The splendid rooms contain fine furniture, tapestries, antiques, an important collection of Tudor paintings and two prayer books inscribed and signed by Anne Boleyn herself.
